ReplyDeleteI don't know if this is the case, but have you tried painting pretty thick with gouache? It looks like you're laying down colour in really thin layers, and you can get some kick-ass smooth gradients if you lay on your colour thick and blend it all out with a wet brush after. Just a thought..if you're getting fed up with gouache..it can be your friend.
